Eco Driving

Car clubs are a flexible, cost-effective way to drive without the responsibilities of owning a car.

In Greenwich, car club vehicles on public roads are operated by Enterprise Car Club, giving residents and businesses convenient access to cars by the hour or day.

Some vehicles located in off-street parking bays are still operated by Zipcar, so drivers should always check the operator when booking.

Electric car club trial

We’re working with Enterprise Car Club to trial an electric car club in the Low Emission Neighbourhood (LEN) of Greenwich and the Peninsula. This initiative supports cleaner air and gives residents the opportunity to experience electric driving without committing to ownership.

Six electric Nissan Leaf vehicles are available from fixed charging bays at the following locations:

  • Roan Street
  • Park Row car park
  • Straightsmouth
  • Lassell Street
  • Banning Street
  • Tarves Way

The scheme is an ideal way to see whether an electric vehicle fits your lifestyle. You can test charging, range and day-to-day practicality while benefiting from lower emissions and quieter driving.

Any Enterprise Car Club member can book and use the electric vehicles, making it simple to try electric driving as part of your regular journeys.

For more information about joining, vehicle locations, and booking, visit the Enterprise Car Club website.
