Travel by Bike

Rather than walk, you may prefer cycling which is a great way to get around the local area, and there is no limit to how far your bike can take you

Cycling is a zero-carbon form of transport, helps build muscle and is linked to improved heart and lung capacity. It can also save you time as you filter through the traffic and avoid the queues during the commuting peak hours.

There is a wide range of destinations within a 15-minute cycle of your new home:

  • Darlington Station (152 sheltered cycle spaces)
  • Darlington City Centre- Sheffield stands available around the city
  • Dinsdale Station

Travel on trains with accompanied bikes is permitted on almost all services.

An experienced cyclist and fancy cycling further? Why not cycle along the National Cycle Route 14 towards Durham and South Shields, click here for me information on the Sustrans website.
