Travel by Bike

Rather than walking, you may prefer cycling, which is a great way to get around the local area, and there is no limit to how far your bike can take you.

Cycling is a zero-carbon form of transport, helps build muscle, and is linked to improved heart and lung capacity. It can also save you time as you filter through the traffic and avoid the queues during the commuting peak hours.

There is a wide range of destinations within a 30-minute cycle from your new home:

  • Leeds train station – 92 cycle spaces
  • Leeds city centre
  • Harehills
  • Chapeltown
  • Tingley
  • Morely

If you are looking to purchase a new bike, fix your neglected bike or purchase cycle accessories, why not have a look at our ‘Offers’ page, which contains discount vouchers for all staff in Baytree.

Alternatively, you may wish to purchase a bike via your employer’s ‘Cycle to Work’ scheme.
