Weetslade Roundabout A189/A1056
The Weetslade Roundabout A189/A1056 has been under construction to improve its safety including the installation of shared paths, crossing points and traffic signals. Works are aimed to be completed by Spring 2023.

Four Lane Ends – Sustainable Transport Improvements
There are sustainable and travel improvements at Four Lane Ends Interchange, A188 Goathland Avenue Junctions, A188 Benton lane and A191 Front Street in order to support North Tyneside Council’s carbon net-zero ambitions.
Improvements include:
- A new southbound bus lane on the A188 Benton Lane between Goathland Avenue and Four Lane Ends Interchange
- Better cycling and walking routes along A188 Benton Lane and A191 Front Street.
