As cities grow and mobility demands increase, the need for accessible, safe options is more urgent than ever.<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, too many people still face risks when simply getting around on foot or by bike. Every year, millions of lives are affected by road traffic crashes, with <strong>pedestrians and cyclists making up more than a quarter of global road traffic deaths<\/strong>. It\u2019s a reminder that safety must be at the heart of how we design our streets and plan our transport networks.<\/p>\n<p><strong>This Week is About Action<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Global Road Safety Week<\/strong> is a chance to inspire action at both national and local levels\u2014to make walking and cycling safe, appealing, and accessible for everyone.
