The <strong>Spring Step Count Challenge<\/strong> is back from <strong>5th May to 29th June 2025<\/strong>, and it&#8217;s the perfect opportunity to <strong>swap the car for your feet<\/strong>, take in some fresh air, and turn your commute into a boost for your body and mind.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you walk, wheel or cycle part of your journey, it all adds up. Let&#8217;s make <strong>active travel<\/strong> part of the daily routine\u2014because small steps lead to big change.<\/p>\n<p><strong>What is the Step Count Challenge?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Step Count Challenge is a fun, team-based activity aimed at helping you become more active\u2014whether you\u2019re walking to work, getting out at lunchtime, or enjoying a weekend ramble. It\u2019s also a great way to promote wellbeing, reduce carbon emissions, and bring people together.<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0Here\u2019s how to take part:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 1: Build Your Team<\/strong><br \/>\nGather five colleagues\u2014or rope in friends and family if needed. Got more than five keen beans in your workplace? Create multiple teams and bring on the friendly competition.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 2: Register<\/strong><br \/>\nPick your team name, nominate your most enthusiastic team member as captain (or draw straws!), and register for just <strong>\u00a360 per team of five<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 3: Track Your Steps<\/strong><br \/>\nYou can use a smartphone, pedometer, or sync with apps like Fitbit, Garmin, Strava or Google Fit. Or download our Step Count app to log steps, check the leaderboard and see how your team&#8217;s progressing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 4: Choose Active Travel<\/strong><br \/>\nTurn everyday journeys into opportunities to move more\u2014walk to the station, cycle part of your route, or get off the bus a stop early. Whether you\u2019re commuting, working from home or just getting outside for some fresh air, it all counts.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Step 5: Stay Motivated<\/strong><br \/>\nKeep your profile updated, cheer on your team, and watch your progress climb the leaderboard.
