Why do you cycle? Who has inspired you to get on your bike? Was it a family member, teacher, friend or even a celebrity?<\/span><\/p>\n

Have you influenced someone to cycle, helped someone learn to ride or gain confidence on their bike?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Let’s celebrate all your Bike Heroes or for being someone Bike Hero by sharing a picture on social media and using the hashtag\u00a0<\/span>#BikeHero.\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Bike Week is the perfect opportunity to take time to reflect on why you cycle!<\/span><\/h3>\n

Health and Fitness<\/span>:\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Cycling is\u00a0<\/span>a great<\/span>\u00a0form of exercise<\/span>,\u00a0<\/span>gets<\/span>\u00a0the body moving, builds stamina and improves muscle strength.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Good for your Mental Health:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Being active and moving is\u00a0<\/span>great<\/span>\u00a0at reducing stress and clearing your mind\u00a0<\/span>and<\/span>\u00a0cycling is no exception.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gets Yourself Outdoors:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0<\/span>Being outdoors on your bike allows you to get fresh air, explore an area and see new environments and scenery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Benefits to the Environment:\u00a0<\/strong><\/span>Taking your bike instead of the car does your bit in having a positive impact on the environment and reduces your carbon footprint.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Gets your Family Active:<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong>Being active yourself can have a positive influence on those around you. Going on a family bike ride is a great bonding activity and gets everyone out of the house and moving.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Setting Personal Achievements:<\/strong><\/span>\u00a0You can cycle just for fun, or if you\u00a0<\/span>are someone who likes<\/span>\u00a0setting goals, cycling can be\u00a0<\/span>a great<\/span>\u00a0activity for trying to get a new PB.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
