Pledge to Pedal This October

Cycle to School Week encourages children and young people to make cycling part of their daily journey. Whether cycling all the way to school or combining cycling with public transport, every ride can contribute to a healthier lifestyle and a greener environment.

How to Get Involved

Cycle to school during the campaign week.

Check bikes are roadworthy and properly fitted.

Encourage families and friends to join in.

Share cycling achievements with your school community.

Why It Matters

Cycling is a practical way to increase daily physical activity, reduce carbon emissions, and build confidence and independence in young people. It also helps reduce traffic levels around schools, creating safer streets for everyone.
